NOC Chairman discusses with the NOC Investments Committee the available opportunities within the oil and gas sector

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NOC, Mr. Farhat Bengdarah, today met with the NOC Investments Committee at his office in Tripoli. The meeting focused on investigating available opportunities for investment due to the increased stability of oil production since the lifting of the Force Majeure on exploration operations and the improved security situation in Libya.

 

The meeting also emphasized the importance of utilizing these opportunities to enhance the national income and to develop the infrastructure of the oil and gas sector in the country.
 
Mr. Bengdarah added that the NOC is ready to provide all necessary support to international companies willing to invest in Libya.
 

He also emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between NOC and international companies to achieve mutual interests for all and to develop the national economy. This comes within the framework of NOC’s plan to increase oil production to 2 million barrels per day.

ZALLAF LAUNCHES SECOND PHASE OF TRAINING PROJECT FOR 60 TECHNICIANS

Zallaf, a subsidiary of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), has launched the second phase of its training project for 60 technicians from the southern region. The project, hosted by the Sharara Center for Training and Business Development, includes practical training in various specializations, including health, safety, security, the environment, electricity, solar energy welding, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical turning.The training course began with theoretical lectures for six weeks in its first phase. The second phase, which started on May 14, 2023, focuses on practical applications. The trainees will receive training from certified trainers and highly qualified specialists.

Launching the second phase of the training project is a significant step in NOC’s efforts to develop the skills of its workforce and promote sustainable development. The project will help ensure that NOC has a skilled and qualified workforce to meet future challenges.
